Apples: Apple Picking!

We drove 3 hours and spent $100 on a hotel room not to go apple picking.

Apples can be bought in stores. No, we spent the money and invested the time specifically to create this memory for our children. To impress upon their souls that family is important... that God's creation is good... that they are deeply loved.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

  1. No fair, making me teary on Monday morning! I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend. I remember my parents taking me apple picking as a child and it is a special memory.

  3. I love how you put it-

    Just lovely...

  4. So true - and so much research indicates that money spent on experiences contributes to our happiness in a much more profound way than money spent on "things."
